Onboarding – initial configuration
Friendly walkthrough for all 5 onboarding steps and what each choice changes in the app.
onboardingcolumnsmarketsnews
Set your foundation: which fields your trades store and how relevant news are linked.
Why it matters
- Your choices define what you can fill in Add Trade, what importer expects, and how Analytics can slice data.
- Onboarding is short, and you can later adjust columns, markets, and news settings without breaking existing trades.
INFO
You only need to do this once. After finish, MYTH stores your onboarding completion and sends you to Dashboard.

Tutorial
1Step 1 — Trade columns
- Mandatory columns are always active and cannot be removed.
- You can include/exclude recommended columns (for example MSS or gap/liquidity context).
- You can create custom columns directly in onboarding (label, key, type, required flag, options).
2Step 2 — Markets
- Select platform markets you actively trade (grouped by category).
- Selections drive market activation at finish and scope the next news configuration step.
3Step 3 — Session setup
- Choose the primary session dimension (Liquidity, Setup, recommended columns, or custom columns).
- Required session fields stay fixed: Session name, Market, Start Date, End Date.
4Step 4 — News configuration
- Toggle detailed fundamentals mode (actual/forecast/previous) or simple result mode.
- Choose recommended configuration, or create custom market-by-market event selection.
5Step 5 — Review and finish
- Review columns, selected markets, news mode, and custom columns summary.
- Click Finish setup to save preferences, activate selected markets, and create your news profile.
Impact & suggestions
- If you are just starting, keep recommended columns enabled to avoid missing future analytics dimensions.
- Use recommended news mode first, then switch to custom when you have a clear process per market.
TIP
Keep onboarding practical: choose what you actively use in your trading routine, not every possible option.
