Guided Import: bring your history into MYTH

Move your existing spreadsheet into MYTH with the guided column mapper. Keep your data as it is, no reformatting, thousands of trades welcome.

Your history is the most valuable thing you bring to MYTH, so the import is designed to take it as it is. You do not reformat your spreadsheet to match us. You upload it, tell the guided mapper which column means what, and MYTH does the rest. Nothing is written to your account until you confirm the final step.

Before you start

  • Have your .xlsx ready in whatever shape you already keep it. Custom column names are fine, that is what the mapper is for.
  • The four fields MYTH needs to find are Date, MarketCode, Buy/Sell, and Result. Everything else is optional.
  • A large history is welcome. Thousands of trades in one file is a normal first import, not an edge case.

Walkthrough

1Upload your file as it is

  • On the Trades page, open Import Trades from Excel. Drag your .xlsx into the drop zone or click to browse.
  • Give the import a Session name so you can find it later. A date range is optional.
  • You do not need to rename headers, reorder columns, or delete anything first. Upload the working file.
Step 1, upload the spreadsheet you already keep, untouched.

2Map your columns with the guided mapper

  • The mapper lists each MYTH field with a dropdown. Pick the column from your file that matches it. The four required fields are marked with an asterisk.
  • Map your optional columns too if you have them, time, setup, liquidity, RR, notes, screenshots. They map exactly the same way.
  • The status badge flips to Ready once every required field points at one of your columns.
Step 2, you tell MYTH what each of your columns means.
TIP
If a field will not map, check the first row of your sheet. The mapper reads your column names from the header row, so a missing or merged header is the usual cause.

3Match any values MYTH hasn't seen

  • If your file uses market codes, setups, or liquidity labels MYTH does not recognise yet, a Value Mapping step appears.
  • For each unmatched value, pick the matching platform item, or choose Add to Strategy Library to create it on the spot. Your labels stay yours.
  • If MYTH already recognises everything, this step is skipped automatically.
Step 3, keep your own labels, or add them to your library in one click.

4Validate and import

  • Preview & Validate runs automatically across the whole file. A green result means you are clear, even for thousands of rows.
  • Scan the preview table to confirm each value landed in the field you intended.
  • Fix any flagged rows, usually back in mapping, then click Import. Now your history is saved.
Step 4, every row is validated before anything is saved.
HEADS UP
The Import button stays inactive until validation shows zero errors. That is deliberate, it keeps bad data out of your statistics from day one.

After import

  • MYTH creates the session and your trades go live across Dashboard and Analytics immediately.
